What is GoMoney?
GoMoney is an inclusive financial platform that provides you with the features of a bank account without the hassle of paperwork and unfair charges; giving you full control of your money, within regulatory permissions. GoMoney allows you to send and receive one-off or recurrent payments to and from anyone—regardless of where they bank. As an individual or as a group, it enables you to share costs and, even better, spend together.
What are you trying to achieve?
A community-based approach to banking: one that enhances your financial decision making through your phone—smart or otherwise (USSD)—while on the go.
We have built a secure and reliable core system from scratch, based on modern technology stacks. This means that we can process your data in real time and send you actionable alerts and reports when they matter—not hours or days later.
For you, this means reduced costs of transactions, simplified payment processes and greater savings!
How soon can I use it?
You can start using the app as soon as you sign up! All you need to do is: download the app > create your account > top up your account using your preferred debit card or bank account! You can top up by sending money directly to your GoMoney account or start accepting payments through payment requests or bank transfers. For bank transfers, the last 10 digits of your phone number as the account number, and bank name is GoMoney.
Is my money safe?
Yes! We are insured by the NDIC and are PCI-DSS, ISO 20000-1 and ISO 22301 compliant. All card transactions are also 3D secured; meaning that your money is insured, your card information is safe and, we are here for the long term.
Are you regulated as a bank?
We currently run on a mobile money licence and abide by the applicable CBN regulations. We plan to roll-out a full banking service within the next year.
